Brokings with Pietzolds

So two weeks after out last Brookings visit we had another great adventure! This time Randy & Shelley (and friends) were putting on a big Geocaching event and we decided to make it a fun trip with our geocaching friends the Pietzolds!  So we set out late Thursday night with three toddlers, two pregnant mommys, two daddy's and LOTS of luggage, all in one mini-van! So much fun!

Only one pic of some of us in the car and this is from the start of the way back.  On the way there poor Lisa sat in between the two boy's car seats...not a comfortable ride... but the way back was much easier as far as space :)

Our three munchkins in the back...thank you in-car dvd for the hours of annoying, I mean helpful, entertainment :)

We had some pretty good entertainment when we got there too! Grammy took her duties very seriously :)

Friday we all decided to drive the short distance to the redwoods! We couldn't all fit in the same mini van so the girls (and kids) went in the van and the two Daddy's and one Grandpa were a little behind.  We stopped at this great bridge to let them catch up and let the kids play (or Grammy play!)

Then the popular people showed up!

And of course what the Daddy's were doing....

Katey wanted to do too...so in her little camo pants (that Grandpa got for her) her and Grandpa Geocached!

Then we finally got to the redwoods Grammy was totally in her element!

We sure went with some Q-T's!

Katey had been so fascinated by Grandpa's walking stick last visit that he found her one of her very own!

She LOVED it and took it very seriously!

Her and Grammy made quite a pair

The whole gang

Jeremy and his boys...Tree Huggers!

The kids loved the river

Why is it that every time a kid gets near water they want to throw something in it? Just curious :)

Jer just making a way for us to walk :)

You know, daddys have to teach their sons to be strong!

The kids had quite a blast in this old hollow log!

Quick belly shot (18 weeks)

The redwoods are such an amazing experience!

Then it was time to head into Crecent City for lunch and a windy walk on the pier.

So excited to be running!

"1-2"

"3"

Such a fun place for pics :)

Love this one!

Katey was pretty amused by the water under the bridge.  She kept stopping and pointing and saying "aww ter?"

So that was out big first day (with naps to follow), and while the boys were geocaching all the next day Mommy's and kidos got some quality time at the beach!

Katey ran straight for the water this time!

She may have been a little ambitious and underestimated the advance of the waves...so the pants didn't last long.

but there was lots of fun to be had anyway!

Katey did not forget the sand experience from last trip!

Grammy met us to play in the sand too!

The boys continued to do what boys do and throw things :)

Zac running &; jumping!

Such a  fun time...then the next morning we got to go WITH the daddys!

Jer & his boys

Lisa chasing Ty who just wants to kinda go in the water...hehe not!

Katey and her walking stick :)

Zac climbing the HUGE rock! :)

Joe things this should be the next carhart add...I love the determination in his face!

He had the original idea to write in the sand....

But it caught on.  Joe wrote "Joe +Emily= Katey & Squishy!"

Such a manly man!

And an amazing Daddy!

Another great daddy and his kidos!

I love this picture but more what it means. Grammy loves to share her beach with anyone...but sharing it with her Grandbabies is definitely the best!
