Nana & Pappy Visit

Family is truly one of God's most amazing blessings. My parents, Nana & Pappy, just left after an amazing 2 week visit.  To try to share even a fraction of our memories from the last two weeks seems overwhelming.  Over 1100 pics were taken and of those I sorted it down to 190...for the website. Don't worry...not that many will be on this blog but just know...it took great restraint not to share more.

First day in Sandy.

It took Katey absolutely no time to warm back up to her Nana & Pappy...

Soon she was sharing her "sugar" very generously.

I'll pause here a min to inform you of the significance of "sugar".  When Joe was young his Grandma would tell him and his brother "I'm gonna get your sugar" and they would squeal and usually lift their chin (like in the above picture) therefore illiciting subsequent kisses all over the neck!  Now a generation later Katey's Grammy, with the help of her Daddy, has taught her to carry on the tradition.

Here is an illustration :)

Innocently playing with Nana...

"Come get my Sugar"

And the expected response!

I don't know who loves it more...her or us!

Sugar for Pappy!

And the squeal & run!

And the catch & sweep!
She's such a miserable little girl :)

Now our Katey is incredibly intelligent as well as beautiful (hehe), she knows that whatever is Pappy's can soon be hers if she only asks in the right way.

This trade is watch (look close in her hand) for a big sloppy kiss! Pappy would tell you he got the better end of the deal :)

Here it is a drink of her juice...

in exchange for the fulfillment of her ensemble.

I'll let you guess the exchange here :)

Sometimes though, she is just incredibly generous with her knowledge...free of charge!

Like showing Pappy where his nose is...just in case he didn't know :)

Oh and Nana's too...

And don't forget Mama's.

Yes and she may even let you join her on her new play place...

But only if you agree to make the right "vroom vroom" noises!

She loves her new play set!

Even if she does get frustrated that she can't climb up the slide yet :)

Nana & Pappy had a surprise for Katey as well.
Her Easter present!

She's such a little cook and loves to take things in and out of her very own fridge!

She definitly loves her Nana & Pappy and we all throughly enjoyed their visit!
