Muffins

So I know its a lot of posting for one day but honestly this one is more for me than for you.  I jsut had the most amazing time with my daughter and I want to chronicle it so that I can remember what a blast she is, especially when she's having one of those...you know perfect days :).

So, "What is all this fun i'm talking about?" you ask. Well I just baked with my little girl for, well probably the first "successful" time. She stood on a chair in teh kitchen and helped me measure shortening, break eggs, dump flour (oh and tried it too...it wasn't her fav) and lick the spoon & bowl.  I think what amazes me the most is that it just reminds me of what a little fun person she is becoming!  I mean as a mother of course I am totally in love with her, but its totally different when you start to REALLY enjoy your little girl.  I loved talking to her about what we were doing, sharing tastes with her, adn even looking expectantly into the oven window to see if our muffins we put in 2 mins ago were done yet.  And then, while waiting for the muffins to bake (which was a very hard part!), we sat and drank tea together!  I have to admit i'm a little on cloud nine at the moment (maybe a combination of an awesome time and some happy preggy hormones! :) ) .

Anyway, I didn't take any pics of the flour all over her, or her struggling valiantly to stir the bowl of dough (rather unsuccessfuly), or of her little butt and backside(which is all i could see) as she continued to peek in the oven window to "check") but i did get a few of us enjoying the delicious muffins :)

"Mmm those look good!"

"What did we make Katey?"

"Mussins!"

The next sequence is directly after the invitation to eat...

Very serious
"I'll try his one..."

"Ohh I think I should just take one bite out of each!"

"Because if one is good...Two is much better!"

Oh I love my girl!

That is so awesome that you are creating memories with your daughter, she will remember those times as she gets older and hopefully treasure them!!
