We have been meaning to do it for a while, and today was the day. It was actually Katey's choice. Her and Daddy were talking about it yesterday and he asked her if she wanted to have a "bye bye binky party" and after incredible excitement and discussion of a new back pack, or "back ack" as she says, she found two binkies and threw them away on the spot! There still remained two so we set the party date for today during Daddy's lunch time and her and I went to the store this morning to pick our her very own back pack! When Daddy got home for lunch we all marched in a big parade to the trash can and threw the remaining binkies in!
It went surprisingly easy, and she couldn't have smiled bigger at Daddy and I's singing, dancing, and cheering!
(I'm sure you all would have laughed at us too :) ).
Then came cookies and ice cream...
And her very own 'back ack' :)

Of course you-know-who got to enjoy one of the first rides in the back pack :)
Yeah she looks all happy now, wait till bed time ;)
Actually it wasn't that bad, after mommy holding her for an alotted "crying over missed binky" time she found the book, card game and ducky she had hidden in her back pack and...

Some times I can't believe how big she is!
