Playing

Yesterday Charrisa and Katey agreed to pose for me so I could play with the new camera and try to figure it out a little more. My models were perfect but my technique is still lacking so be kind :). Here are just a few quick snapshots...

Love the smirk, doesn't it look like she's planning something?

Ok, so the hat didn't last that long but ISN'T IT ADORABLE!?

Just hanging out in her new boots...with Ducky :)

Love these girls!

So by this point

...Katey had better things to do..

So the next few are Charr & I just playing :)

Oh yeah, gatta be cool...I guess ;)

"What you want?"
Good times!

Play date update

We're still going strong! I LOVE our little group that gets together on Tuesday mornings just to watch our babies grow together! Here are just a few snapshots from our group today, some regulars are missing and we have some new faces...but its still us!

Fletcher Powell, Look at that smile!

I can't believe just a year ago his mama was in the hospital trying not to have him 4 months early, and now...He's perfect!

And this is little Cooper Cary, our newest little member. At almost 2 months old, this was his posture through most of the group. Ahh, I remember when Katey did that...wow its been a while!

Oh look! I see eyes! (more to come later)

Charrisa came down but just for a min to get food and was assaulted by a cute little girl just wanting to be held :)

Look at that face! How could you resist it?

Fletcher again, rolling around on the floor with his Mommy Jessica/ You should hear his belly laughs! They are soooo cute!

Avera was very interested in him!

Finally he took some notice

These are two other newer members to our group. Meet Angela & Avera

Aren't they adorable!

Avera is a very cute & talkative 6 months old.

And her mommy is a sweet sweet friend.

Fletcher again, you should have seen him and Katey dancing to the music and playing the drums on the ottoman. It was hilarious!

Riley was making us shakes and playing with "Baby Emily". I'm so special I have a baby named after me! But i wasn't REAL fond of being called "Big Emily"
.

But with that face, who could argue?

Daddy came home for lunch, and of course Katey found her place :). Look closely and you can see her lunch all over his nice work shirt...sorry Daddy :)

Everyone's getting a little tired....

One of the best moments as a mom!

Fletcher had to put his hat on just in case it was raining outside!

See I told you we would see some Cooper eyes! He woke up just as everyone was leaving...so I bribed Mommy (Tracy) with some coffee and convinced her to wait out the rain.

Really I just wanted to enjoy this little gorgeous boy!

Such a fun play date! I love being a Mommy!

Ducky

As Katey grew we started to put different stuffed animals in her crib with her at night. She never really showed any favoritism until, one day, I put "Ducky" in the crib with her and immediately she pulled him on top of her face and fell fast asleep. Since then he has become increasingly more and more important to Katey. It began by him staying in her crib and only helping her fall asleep. Then she began to hold on to his arm or leg as we lifted her out of the crib and therefore he would maybe go downstairs or around the house with us. Then, because we realized he helped her to fall asleep, he would travel to places where she was being baby sat so that she would feel more comfortable falling asleep...well fast forward to the present and you will see a little girl who is just happiest with her not-quite-bright-yellow, extremely squishy, furry "Ducky".

Now, as a mother, this just warms my heart! I love to watch her cuddle into his fur as she settles down for a nap, or hold tightly to his arm or leg as she crawls around the house. It was SOOO cute, until....Ducky wasn't where we thought he was!

Sunday, somehow, he didn't make it into the car with us after church. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time to go back and Mommy seriously underestimated the important roll that Ducky had taken on. For the last two days he has been MIA and my little happy go lucky, awesome nap-taker hasn't been so into her naps, or bed, or anything WITHOUT Ducky!

But after two days of crying a long time before finally going down, and just being overly cranky in general he was returned to us!

The following pictures chronicle their reunion...

"Oh Mom, it's Ducky!"

"Oh Ducky, I missed you soo much!"

"Mmm, You still taste just as good!"

"I have my Ducky!"

Note to anyone, if you EVER see this ducky at the store, let me know. I will immediately buy at least FIVE!

My new living room!

So through a totally crazy and God-orchestrated chain of events we were able to trade with a friend our entertainment center and TV for the living room of my dreams!

The new entertainment center, isn't the wood gorgeous!

We still have a pretty good sized TV, although I do love my husband all the more for sacrificing his flat screen for the desires of his honey's heart :) Thank you love!

This is the jewel in my new crown! I have been wanting a dining room table that we could all sit around and have family meals and I really didn't know how that could happen with our limited space. But God totally orchestrated it so that we could just directly trade our entertainment center and TV for our friends gorgeous hardwood table, entertainment center and TV! I am more than thrilled!

On top of that, the very next day (My Birthday) I received in the mail this hand-made table runner my mom made! She had NO idea I was getting a new table and needed a new runner...but God did!

This is the new view of the bar with the old chairs from the other table and Katey's little toy chest :)

YAY! I have a table! Thank you Jesus!
