Seaside Resort!

So Friday night we were over at Jeremy and Lisa's house having a GREAT dinner and right before dinner Jeremy comes into the house (the guys were working outside) and says to Lisa "My mom will watch Zach!". So Lisa turns to me and asks "Do you guys want to go to Seaside with us on SUNDAY MORNING to stay at a resort in the Penthouse sweet!?", "UM YES!!!" was the immediate answer (of course followed by an attempt at a calm "I'll have to talk to Joe, of course."

The weekend that followed was just unbelievable. Sunday morning Jeremy & Lisa arrived with Ty (their 3 month old son), and the six of us headed to Seaside!

She was VERY excited to go

OK, so the following pictures have a HUGE part in our trip. You see, Joe has a new hobby and this hobby is, in a big part, credited to Jeremy. It's is called geocaching.
We teased Jeremy and Lisa about choosing US as their traveling companions mainly due to the fact that Joe shares Jeremy's love of geocaching. Therefore, I took the following few pics to explain to all of the non-geocachers my husbands new obsession, oh I mean hobby :)

They start out with GPS coordinates that they download off of an official geocaching website. The coordinates are placed there by other geocachers who have hidden "treasures" for others to find.

They then follow the GPS coordinates to within close proximity of the location of the "cache" (sometimes assisted with clues from the one who placed it)

Then they simply wonder around looking for anything out of the ordinary that could be hiding their cache.

This is Jeremy finding it (he then walked away and let Joe and I find it ourselves :)

Do you see it?

This one was a simple plastic container

You remove the container, Sometimes there are things inside...that parts hard to explain

But there is always a log book of some kind,

So each of them have a name registered on the geocaching website that they sign in the log book (and then when they get back to their computers (or Joe's phone) they log online that they have found that cache. One of the goals, other than having fun finding the "treasures", is to log as many cache's as possible

Then you return the cache to its place just as you found it and leave it for the next treasure hunter

Much of our free time on this trip was wondering around geocaching, it was actually really fun!

OK, So now onto the resort!!!

We stayed at the Wyndom resort in Seaside, on the 8th floor in the PENTHOUSE SWEET!!!

The view out the living room

Katey liked it too!

We had amazing views whichever way we looked!

This was the pool and hot tub as you could see it from our room.

The master bedroom.

Our bedroom.

The third bedroom, we felt bad not even being able to use it. If the babies fell asleep in their strollers while we were out, we'd just wheel them in here & let them sleep till they woke up. That was the extent of its use.

There were three rooms each with a bathroom to itself! With two jacuzi tubs!

Full Kitchen!

Dinning room with huge TV and fireplace below!
Of course we had to play Settlers of Catan

And, did you really think I wouldn't put a few pics in of the babies playing together!

Katey just wanted to roll right over the top of him and Ty didn't know quite what to do about it.

She just pretty much made the place her own, rolling from one side of the room, all the way down the hall, and would have kept going without parental intervention!

This is the luggage it takes for four adults and two babies for ONE NIGHT!!!
But oh, it was sooo much fun! Thank you Jer & Lisa for choosing us, even if it was only because Joe's a nerd too :)
