The Zoo!

Yesterday we spent the ENTIRE day at the Zoo! It was such a blast! Last time we took Katey to the Zoo she was too little to really notice the animals, but this time she was all excitement, pointing and smiling! The enjoyment to be had by watching your child get excited is just amazing!

I love that you can see her face in the reflection as Daddy points something out to her. He is such a good Daddy and it was so much fun to watch him expectantly show her everything!

We went and saw the baby elephant too, he was sooo cute!

He went over in the middle of all of them and SAT down and played in the dirt!

This guy reminds me of my big brother when he's tired. "I'll rise,but I REFUSE to shine!"

Such a fun day, so much to do and see and NO time for sleeping. Mommy got a few quick cuddles in moments of weekness and they were priceless!

I liked the Zoo before, but it takes on an entirely new shine when you have a little one with eyes so wide with curiousity that your not sure how they fit on her head. Just another amazing joy of parenthood!

Day at the beach

Our amazing friends Aaron & Alaina wanted to share THEIR 2 year anniversary with US by spending the weekend with us doing fun things. Aaron and Joe made plans ahead of time to spend our entire Saturday at the beach! What amazing guys we have!

We had an awesome Day! How could you not with the amazing friends and family that I have?

Teeth!

So pictures are pretty much impossible but I wanted to officially announce that Katey got her first tooth last Wednesday. It is on the bottom right and although she was fine leading up to its arrival, I can't tell now if her runny nose and crankiness is from the first tooth, the arrival of a second tooth, or if she is sick.

I feel so bad for my little angel. She has been having a hard time sucking on her binky or nursing due to the runny nose. Overall the whole world just seems to be a little harder to take. But on a positive note, she has been much more cuddly with Mommy and Daddy :).

8 months!

Katey turns 8 months old tomorrow! I absolutely can't believe its gone this fast! She is my active, rolling, curious, crawling, standing, babbling, jumping, putting-everything-in-my-mouth, finger-food-eating, messy, smiley, kitty-loving, Daddy-adoring, Mommy chasing, irresistible lovable girl!
